Biography: Geoff was a three-year team MVP for his father, Neil (HOF Coach inductee in 2004), at Lincoln (IL) High School. The Railsplitters have a long and rich basketball history. Geoff scored 1,310 career points and set the school record for free throws attempted in a career (611). Geoff was a three-time All Area Player selection gy several newspapers and a 2nd team IBCA all-state player in 1995. After his prep career ended, he spent 2 years each at Southeastern Iowa Community College and Western Illinois University. Geoff went into coaching, first as a graduate assistant at WIU where he developed a relationship with Coach Brad Underwood. After coaching stints at Jacksonville (TX) Community College, Eastern Illinois University and Daytona State, Geoff reconnected with Coach Underwood as a member of the University of Illinois staff.
