Biography: Kenyatta was a 1st Team All-State Player selection by the IBCA, Chicago Sun-Times, and Champaign News-Gazette.  She played for Hall of Fame Coach(1996)  Dorothy Gaters, at (Chicago) Marshall High School.  She helped win the IHSA Class AA State Championships in 1989 and 1990.  In the 1989 title game, Kenyatta led a 4th quarter comeback against (Winnetka) New Trier High School; her basket at the end of regulation sent the game into overtime.  In 1990, her 2nd-half surge helped Marshall rally for a semifinal win over (Chicago) Mother McAuley High School.
