Biography: Gary Phillips was recognized as one of the greatest players ever to represent Quincy High School.  After an all-state high school career, Gary gained second team All-American honors at the University of Houston and became a top draft pick of the Boston Celtics, playing several years for legendary NBA coach Red Auerbach.  He also played for the San Francisco Warriors.  During his NBA career, Gary scored 2,319 points, grabbed 903 rebounds, and handed out 665 assists.
