Biography: Gary Thompson earned all-state and all-tournament honors in 1965 as he led Quincy HS to a 2^nd place finish in Champaign, losing 55-52 to a great Collinsville team.  As a senior, Gary averaged 16 ppg, scoring 502 points for the season.  Only listed at 5’ 10”, Gary still grabbed 135 rebounds during his senior season.  He attended Robert Morris JC in Oklahoma after leaving high school.
