Biography: The 1996 Carlyle Lady Indians were a high-scoring machine.  In their 34 games, they averaged over 76 ppg.  In their 3 games at the IHSA State Tournament they averaged over 83 ppg.  Their average margin of victory for those 3 contests was 32 points.  After losing to Teutopolis High School in the state title game in 1995 on a last second shot, the goal for the ’96 Lady Indians was to make sure that no game was going to come down to a last shot.  This Lady Indian squad set state tournament records for most points in a title game (86); most points in a quarter of a title game (26); most points in the tournament (250); largest point margin in the title game (36); most field goals made in a game (42); most field goals made in the title game (34); most field goals made in the tournament (103); most assists in a game (28); most assists in the tournament (64).  Several individual records were also set.
