Biography: The QND Lady Raider basketball program won state titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013 becoming (at the time) the fourth girls’ basketbal program to win three straight titles and the first to do it in two different classes (2011 and 2012 in Class 2A/2013 in Class 3A).
The 2013 QND Lady Raider basketball team was now playing in IHSA Class 3A when they won their 3rd straight state title with a (62-45) victory over Vernon Hills to finish the year with a 30-0 record. They became the first basketball program in the state of Illinois to win three state titles and do it in two different classes. QND was led by all state players Jordan Frericks who would go on to play at the University of Missouri and Kassidy Gengenbacher who would play at Lindenwood University.
During this era, QND had won 79 straight games against in-state competition and 53 straight games overall. The 2013 team was ranked in the ESPN top 50 high school basketball programs for that year. The 2013 QND girls’ basketball team is recognized by The Chicago Tribune as one of the top 64 greatest high school teams in the history of Illinois basketball.
