Biography: The 1946 Southern Illinois University Salukis were the NAIA National Champions.  Coached by Glenn “Abe” Martin, SIU won the IIAC and the NAIA titles and finished 20-6.  They defeated Indiana State 49-40 for the title.  It was Martin’s final year as the Saluki basketball coach.
