Biography: The 1941 (Cicero) Morton High School State Champions had the distinction of beating every team that they played during the season.  Morton was a well-balanced team that played excellent defense and played well together.  They had the distinction of defeating the 1941 Centralia “Wonder Team” in the state semi-finals.  Morton then beat an equally talented Urbana team to win the state championship to finish with a 23-4 record.
