Biography:

(Buda) Western entered the IHSA Elite “8” with an unprecedented unbeaten Class A, 60-0 two year regular season record. There were nine players who were members of both of these outstanding teams. The only losses occurred on the Assembly Hall floor. 

The 1974-75 team was led by first team All-State honorary Captain Bob Sprowls.  The team was coached by IBCA Hall of Famer Chips Giovanine.
