Biography: Ron Johnson celebrated his 500th high school coaching victory on Feb. 14, 1987 when St. Charles HS defeated Lake Park HS.  Ron, a Bradley University graduate came to St. Charles in 1963 after a 6-year stint as the head coach at Kaneland High School.  His St. Charles teams won 475+ games through his retirement in 1998.  They grabbed 21 IHSA Regional crowns and 2 IHSA Sectional titles.  Ron joins his dad, Mel (a 1974 inductee) as a coach in the Hall of Fame.  Ron Johnson died on February 23, 2020 at the age of 97.
