Biography: Leo “Mike” Kesseler coached for 25 seasons as Princeton’s Logan Junior High School.  Kesseler alternated yearly between 7th and 8th grade teams.  His teams at Logan had a combined 311-113 record.  Logan’s teams under Mike’s direction won 11 Starved Rock Conference titles to go with 4 second place finishes.  9 times Logan won conference tournaments.  They also won 7 other tournaments along the way.  His 1987-88 8th grade team went 15-0, the following season the 7th grade team went 16-1.  4 times his teams lost 2 or less games.  Mike was the IBCA District 12 Junior High Coach of the Year in 1971.  Leo “Mike” Kesseler died on March 29, 2006 at the age of 69.
