Biography: 

James had a 462-230 record in 26 seasons as a college head coach. He coached the Aurora University women’s team for four years and the school’s men’s team for 22 seasons. 

James had a 58-42 record as women’s head coach from 1991-94 with two NIC Conference championships, two runner-up finishes and one NCAA Division III tournament appearance. As men’s coach from 1995-2016, he led Aurora to a 404-188 mark with 10 NIC Conference titles and nine NCAA Division III tournament appearances.
