Biography: Bud was a former athlete at Glasford High School, the forerunner of Illini Bluffs High School. Scarcliff was a basketball starter in the late 20’s and early 30’s. Scarcliff remembers metal basketball nets and balls costing only a quarter. This longtime civic leader served on his church board, school board, was a 4-H leader and coached Little League. Scarcliff followed basketball in Glasford for the over 66 years and watched games in four different gymnasiums. Scarcliff was one of the first ever Hall of Famers from Illini Bluffs, and deservingly so.  Bud Scarcliff died on February 8, 1998.
