Biography:  At the time of his induction, John Shover was part of the foursome with 114 years of service working the  official bench for Barry basketball.  Shover, president of the First National Bank of Barry, had served as scorekeeper for Barry High School. He has served for many of those years at the junior high school as well. In addition,  Shover and his basketball bench companions support Barry’s young athletes when they play on the road.  John’s civic contributions to the city of Barry were only outshined by his devotion to Barry Basketball.  John Shover died on December 26, 2011 at the age of 73.
