Biography:

Lesli starred from 1975-79 at Clinton High School. The 5’7 forward, scored 1,662 career points (note that there was no 3 point baskets during this era). She averaged 32.4 ppg as a senior in 78-79 after averaging 29.9 ppg as a junior.  In 1978-79 she had individual scoring games of 58, 46, 44, 39, 37, 36 points ( all setting CHS records).  She had one game of 24 rebounds grabbed and another of 20 rebound.  She also set the  all-time single game assist record with 16 in a game.  The team record during her stint at Clinton High School was 51-11.

Lesli earned the following honors for her senior season for the Lady Maroons:

1st Team Chicago Tribune All-State (1979)

1st Team Champaign News-Gazette All-State (1979)

Champaign News-Gazette Player of the Year (1979)

Decatur Herald & Review Player of the Year (1979)

She nearly averaged a triple-double for her senior year with 32 ppg, 13.1 rpg, 9.9 apg while shooting 53% from the field.

From 1979-81 Lesli played at Lincoln College where she scored 1,097 pts in 64 games for a 17.7 ppg career average.  She also had 325 rebounds, 177 steals, while shooting 47% from the field. From 1981-83 she played at William Penn (IA) and was an NAIA All-American her senior year while averaging 20 ppg.
