Biography:

As sports editor of the Belvidere Daily Republican (1975-78) and the Galesburg Register Mail (1978-2019), Mike covered and coordinated coverage of basketball for more than 40 years. His coverage spanned junior high, high school, college and professional basketball.

Mike began in the era of the typewriter and continued through the arrival of the computer age. Working under daily deadlines, he wrote stories, took photographs, assigned reporters and photographers, designed pages and produced videos involving countless players and teams.
