Biography: Judy Weber-Krause played women’s basketball at DeKalb High School from 1975-79 where she began playing with the varsity as a sophomore.  During her junior year, she was voted as “Most Improved.”  As a senior for DeKalb, Judy was an all-Upstate Eight selection.  She was the squad’s leading rebounder.  After the conclusion of her prep career, she received a full scholarship to Northern Illinois University where she played from 1979-1983.

As a freshman at NIU, Judy was the first player off the bench.  She became a starter as a sophomore and made the NIU Hoop Classic all-tourney team–a feat that she would repeat as a junior.  During her senior season, NIU won the Illinois WAA Tourney (the year before the NCAA began their women’s tournament).  Judy was named as the Huskies’ MVP while making the Dean’s List and winning the NIU Student Leadership Award.  At the time of her graduation, Judy was the NIU career rebounding leader for women’s basketball.

Judy Weber-Krause is the rare individual who has been inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame as a player and as a coach.  She earned the coach selection in 2017.
