Biography:  Charles Hillman of Hinckley officiated basketball for 25+ years. During that period, Hillman refereed well over 1,000 games in such leagues as the Original Suburban, West Suburban, Des Plaines Valley, Interim Association, Southwest Suburban, North Suburban, Northwest Suburban, Suburban Catholic, and conferences including the Big Eight, North Central, Little Seven, Little Eight, and Little Ten. Hillman officiated districts when they were still part of the IHSA setup as well as regionals. Hillman worked holiday tournaments at DeKalb, Batavia and Mendota while also working conference tournaments in the Big Four and Little Eight. Hillman whistled junior college and small college games. His assignments also included junior high, recreational, industrial, and church leagues. Hillman could be found officiating anywhere in an area from the Mississippi on the west to Lake Michigan on the east between the Wisconsin border and interstate 80.  Charles Hillman died on May 17, 2007 at the age of 92.
