Biography: Bernard Brady began his coaching career with a Tri-County Conference championship and a regional championship in his only season at Wenona High School. After a year as an assistant at Northwestern University, Brady spent 9 seasons at Maine Township East and 11 at Maine Township South, where he also served as athletic director. Three of his teams reached sectionals final at East, three won West Suburban Conference crowns and compiled a 128-77 record. At Maine South, Brady teams won six regional titles and in 1970 made the school’s first Sweet Sixteen appearance. South also won seven Central Suburban crowns and finished second the other three seasons. Brady won 195 games while losing 49 at South. Bernard Brady passed away in 2004.
